Comfort Foods

When I am stressed out or overwhelmed I drink hot chocolate. Even in the summer. There's something calming about the steamy heat, the warmth of the mug in my hands, and of course, the chocolate. Stephen's Hot Cocoa is my favorite, but I'll take whatever I have available.

Does that count as an addiction?

I want to know if anyone else turns to a specific food item for peace and tranquility.

Cissy, your comfort food is seems so light and lovely. When I am looking for comfort food it is not just one cup of hot chocolate, but a double dipped chocolate brownie ice cream extravaganza with a side order of New York steak, bbq wings and peanut M&Ms to wash it all down. And none of that brings me peace and tranquility. So, maybe like you, I should adopt hot chocolate. It certainly gives me food for thought. :)

I think of all things I turn to ice cream first!! The best is chocolate chip or strawberry with milk to make my own little shake. I think I could eat it everyday. One of my old roommates always drank hot chocolate and even had this "cocoamotion" that made hot chocolate...id say if you don't have one of those you're not addicted.
